Musician, Teacher, Recordist, Composer

Try, try, try again.

I guess I’m not very good at updating. I have had many thoughts since I last posted but none made it to this blog. Things are going well despite the madness in the big world. I have been working with a variety of clients on their music. We survived the covid pandemic by going remote for the most part.

Over the last few years I have been reviewing my repertoire and compiling lyrics and chord charts of tunes that I have performed, arranged, created and recorded. I am addicted to learning and creating tunes so I continue to add to the not so short list. I put it all on the cloud so I can access from all my devices – handy dandy.

Tom Doherty and I continue to crank out demos of songs. We’re getting closer to finishing our 7th CD. With this we’ll be over 130 songs demoed.

Not sure what tomorrow will bring other than more music, and that’s the way I like it.

New Laptop

Saying goodbye to my old friend – 2010 MacBook Pro.

Saying hello to my new friend – 2017 MacBook Pro.

After quite a few hours of transferring I only have a few things to do to get back to where I was.

Quite an ordeal, but no data has been lost in transition.

Soon I can stop being a computer engineer and become a musician again. Whew.

Working on Tom Doherty’s latest song collection.

Trying to finish, or at least get to a presentable state, Tom Doherty’s latest collection of songs. 17 new tunes that we have recorded in 1 1/2 hour sessions once a week over the last year. Fun stuff.

The first record is on Spotify if you want to check it out. We recorded this in 2015 same way – 1 1/2 hr sessions once a week.
